Activities: Community Case Study Abstract Think about the community you will study and generate research questions that will guide your investigation. Write a brief paragraph that summarizes what and how you will investigate. Oral History Interviews Using your questions and abstract as a guide, identify at least two people from the community you are studying that you wish to interview, preferably who represent diverse perspectives. Generate an interview protocol, questions you would like to ask and conduct your interviews. It is helpful to audio record your interviews and to take hand written notes. Gather direct quotes when you can. Create a summary with sample quotes of what you learned from your interviews and hand in your interview protocol and summary. You will use the bulk of the interviews for your final project. The summary is just to give me an indication of what you are studying and what you have learned from the process. Photo Essay Using photography, document the sites, places and populations you are studying. Using a minimum of 5images, create PowerPoint, I-Movie, or other format that tells the visual story of your project. Discussion Boards In My Lesley, participate in the weekly discussion board forums.
